IS EVERY CHILD SPECIAL???When I peep into the rhymes world of the children, I think for a while on the rhyme line "Twinkle Twinkle Little Stars"- such an unparallel thought, which cannot be joked at in a common recitation. When the film "Taare Jameen par" released & I heard that the film talkies are becoming houseful with the rush of the people, I prepared my mind to watch this film anyhow. It was a holiday when my dream came true. I got an invitation from one of my friend to watch this movie at his home & enjoy.Just, with a peaceful & calm mind I prepared myself ready to enjoy every scene. Alas! Such a nice story! About the life of a child, from the dust to gold! How the teacher has played the role to make the life of the child a special one. That's great imagination! "Every child is special", the then message highlighted everywhere in the country with the advertisement of the film. It just flashed the kinder garden rhymes " Twinkle Twinkle Little stars" which is to be realized now by every one.Now a question in every mind - among the parents, teachers & children, raises openly that "Is child really special"? Is it a truth to see child as special? Or is that seen only in film like "Taare Zameen par"? In how much quantity, child is special - 20%, 50% or 100%? That question gives an opportunity now to think about. Teachers again think about many more questions, "which children should be termed as special"? Yes, Himansu, Prateek, Anjali of class X those who are with flying colours in their academic field, they are special. But can we call the children like Rahul, Ashok, Aman who are under 50% & also fail in different subjects as special? Heart is not accepting them to call as special. Then, how is it the message," Every child is special"?Then mind explains, "is the speciality means only in terms of academic field or in other fields also such as art, dance, sports, writings, jokes, etc. Slowly slowly, the meaning of the message "Every child is special" expands its base when teachers, the parents & we stretch us to the level of them, the children.We always try to measure every child with the meter of academic. The child, if he is not fetching good mark is termed as ‘the worst' & the child with colourful marks as ‘the best'. The child is trapped & confined to our torture & exploitation. He always bound to listen scolding, beatings, etc, as he is not reading. We forget the multi-dimensional fields of the child. We don't go into the child's personality. We don't try to understand the child. As a consequence, we show our designed anger to fit the child according to our hope & design. As the result, the child's personality & speciality goes to the ruined & deformed condition.Within the child, the soul (the divine power) exists. That's the source of all specialities. Besides that, the intellect & super mind is present, which are the basis of all possibilities. Go into the deep of the child. You will see a big imaginative world is present; an innovative road to their own hope & goal is present. Basing on that personal interest & hope all roads of specialities are connected. The central theme/speciallity is hidden within the child. He always tries to expose to you. But we with power glasses also, cannot see this speciality. Instead, we compel them to do something else, which is not under his field of interest. That's neglect the child's personality & the child becomes prone to torture & exploitation under the load of home work/class work.Every child is different & unique. They are with many more specialities. The wicked children of your class are having the highest possibilities & multi-dimensional personalities. They become naughty, as they need more work to do, more fields to work & show their personalities. Choose the most naughty children of your class & assign them some works & see how quickest they are! Within fraction of minutes they do the work. The naughty children are the future's best human resources. The teachers & parents have to understand this truth more & more & should try to find out the possibilities & capabilities within them, so that "Every child will be special" in time to come. Children are born already with unlimited potentialities. It is we who either misguide & deform or help to develop them & make them worthy in every field.
